Resume
TLDR ☼
my name is Eugenio but OG should be easier to pronounce :)
I'm a product and organization design advisor that brings clarity and pace to complex projects.
In the last years I mostly focused on web3 systems design, ecosystem strategies and operations.
I'm open to collaborations as a product manager, owner, or strategist in exciting product or HR positions, with a strong bias for contexts that leverage exponential technologies, work with regenerative practices and/or address human existential threats.
I'm strongly interested in projects and organizations trying to bridge real-world assets on-chain and enabling the agency of IRL communities.
I'm used to work closely with cross-functional teams of top-tier software developers, designers, and domain experts to break silos across the organizations I work with.
With powerful methodologies and scalable approaches to collaborative strategy making, I deliver value at the intersection of tech and business domains.
With a lean and evolutionary approach I foster the creation of multi-sided business models and adaptive organizational strategies to harness the value of open ecosystems.
Lately
I'm a Web3 Researcher at Curve Labs, mostly involved in PrimeDAO and Kolektivo.
Here I led the research, development, publishing and maintenance of the knowledge base of various projects in which Curve Labs was involved — both internal and publicly facing.
I ignited and significantly contributed to the creation of an internal cross functional squad aimed at the improvement of Curve Labs processes to systematically reduce organizational and technical debt.
I strongly support the ReFI space, co-organized re-encrypt.co, pioneering DAO governance of IRL communities at Traditional Dream Factory, OASA and Closer.earth, for which I led the grant application for the Regen.network fund in Dec 2021 and got awarded $ 50k that fueled the project for most of early 2022.
I set up and maintained the engineering behind The Consilience Project, which publishes novel research at the leading edges of global risk mitigation, governance design, and culture, exploring the key challenges and existential threats facing humanity, and the underlying problems with current approaches for addressing them. In this project I helped the leadership to de-scope an ambitious and innovative engineering project under the premise that 'all code is liability' so that they can focus their energies on content and relationships, rather than building a fancy custom codebase. It was a good reminder that most of the times less is more.
Before the pandemic I co-founded moos garden with the idea of creating a research center in Berlin for urban regeneration ventures and transgenerational healing practices working with lightweight technology and the hands and imagination of kids and pioneers on the placemaking intersection between self, community, landscape.
The project has evolved into an interesting melting pot of Berlin's arts & tech scene (residency and Telegram) as the initial core team moved on with other projects.
Previously
In the last 10 years have been an ecosystem strategy advisor to Fortune 500s, SMBs, startups, networks, think-tanks, cultural NGOs, and to developmental organizations like the UNDP, both in the public and private sector, regarding matters of portfolio management or organizational change.
I intervened on C-level and product teams as a trainer, facilitator, and researcher focused on systems design, operations, and ecosystem-platform strategies.
I co-founded boundaryless.io and significantly contributed to creating, developing and disseminating the Platform Design Toolkit (PDT), the EEEO Toolkit (based on Haier’s Rendanheyi), and the set of training and consulting products around them. PDT is today one of the most comprehensive and widely adopted methodologies for the design, prototyping, launch, and scale of ecosystem strategies. Fully released in Creative Commons.
In my university times, I studied biotechnology with a particular interest in integrative neuroscience. I then experimented in the field of life sciences with emerging and low-cost technologies (especially with open source microfluidics devices), addressing global issues and exploring novel forms of ethical deliberation.
